O Christmas tree…

We decided this year to change our christmas colour theme. Choosing a classic look of red and gold, with the addition of some white highlights. As we sit back and admire our choice we quietly smile with satisfaction, as the twinkling red tinsel and metallic gold beads sparkle in the corner. We nod with confidence at each other at the perfect placement of our new (handmade) additions – yes we have out done ourselves this year and as we sit down with a cuppa and we read the names on the personalised baubles; Nana Rosie, Willie, Ginny, Maggie etc we turn to look at our beloved four paws.

One of which is eating the decorations, as another gently tugs at the metallic beads (as the tree slowly tilts to the right) to find his Lordship perusing the bottom of the tree with a glint in his eyes.Yes, Lord Willie has a look a pride, eventually his two legs have recognised his greatness and erected an (almost) adequate tribute to him Lord Willie, first of his name, protector of the snuggle blanket and royal sandwich taster to the Queen and as he wanders around and approves his tribute he sings a song to himself, as he finds the perfect spot…

O Christmas tree, o Christmas tree
How lovely are thy branches
O Christmas tree, o Christmas tree
Lord Willie is thankful.

Your boughs so green against my crown
Stay bravely tall in wintertime
O lift the leg and take a pee
How lovely are thy branches.

O Christmas tree, o Christmas tree
How lovely are thy branches
with westies dancing and prancing
Mirroring Willies finest.

O Christmas tree, o Christmas tree
Lord Willie thinks its fantastic.
O Christmas tree, o Christmas tree
He thinks its all about his grandness.

O Christmas tree, o Christmas tree
How lovely are thy branches
Christened by Lord Willie
In his gracious kindness…
